Native to eastern Australia and parts of southern Papua New Guinea. Commonly found in coastal streams, estuaries, and tidal creeks.
Reaches up to 1.5 inches. Best kept in schools in a 10+ gallon planted tank with clean, slightly brackish to freshwater conditions and moderate flow.
Active, peaceful schooling fish. Eats micro-pellets, baby brine shrimp, crushed flakes, and other tiny live or frozen foods. Males display vibrant fins and engaging courtship behavior.
